Human remains discovered east of Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — Human remains have been discovered just outside of Prince George.

Prince George RCMP say that on the afternoon of Saturday August 1, police, with the assistance of Prince George Search and Rescue, recovered the remains near Highway 16, approximately 40 kilometres east of Prince George.

“This investigation is in its early stages, however police do not believe there are any safety concerns,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass. “The BC Coroners Service has been notified and is conducting a parallel fact-finding investigation to determine cause of death.”
