PRINCE GEORGE—The Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) is once again giving residents a heads up when it comes to fire training taking place near the airport.
PGAA issued an alert last week, saying that fire training was supposed to take place on August 5, however, it will now take place today, Monday, Aug.10.
The training is scheduled to continue until 4 p.m. today (Aug.10) and dark smoke may be visible near the airport area.
PGAA says that the fires are held in self-contained training facilities under controlled circumstances and are part of ongoing recurrent fire training certification.
