There are a lot of things that go into a Prince George Cougars game and a game day wouldn’t be possible without some non-profit organizations.

From ticket takers to ushers and the on-ice crew as they all volunteer their time to help make gamedays happen.

“Being able to give back for many of us it is one of our favourite parts of the Cougars being here,” shared Vice President of Business for the Cougars Andy Beesley.

“We love the idea that we can also donate cold hard cash to so many groups and that we are able to spread our love around the community and help be a part of the fabric of what makes this a really great city to live.”

Recently the Cougars presented the Northern BC Centre for Skating with a cheque for $4,000 and earlier this week they presented Girl Guides of Prince George a donation of $3,500.

Other organizations which benefit from the 50/50 society include the Cariboo Cougars, Eastern Star, Big Brothers, Salvation Army, Rotary, and the Cancer Society.
