RCMP arrest six and seize AK-47 style firearm

PRINCE GEORGE–Six people were arrested earlier today (Aug.14) and RCMP seized what they call an AK-47 style firearm after responding to firearms report at 4 a.m.

Police say they received a call of a firearms incident on the 2600 block of Oak St. at 4 a.m. When they arrived, frontline officers and the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team secured the area and began investigating. Police say that residents of the area were informed of the situation right away.

At around 11 a.m., five males and one female in the residence were taken into custody without further incident.
