57-year-old motorcyclist dead after weekend crash

WILLIAMS LAKE–A motorcyclist is dead after an accident in the Cariboo over the weekend.

On Saturday, August 15th Williams Lake RCMP responded to a crash on Chimney Lake Rd. at Felker Lake Dr. When RCMP arrived, Emergency services personnel were conducting CPR on a motorcycle operator, unfortunately the 57-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and casual factors have yet to be determined, however, it is believed that the motorcyclist may have been attempting to avoid wildlife. The B.C. Coroners Service is also conducting a parallel investigation to determine the official cause of death.
