PRINCE GEORGE—Northern B.C. residents are invited to participate in an online town hall with British Columbia’s Human Rights Commissioner.

On Thursday, Aug.20 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Kasari Govender, B.C.’s Human Rights Commissioner will host a two hour education and engagement session via Zoom. Residents in the Northeastern region of the province are encouraged to participate to discuss human rights issues impacting their lives.

“People in our northern communities face unique human rights challenges.”—Kasari Govender, B.C.’s Human Rights Commissioner

“It’s important to me to connect directly with people from this region about the issues they are facing. We’ll be sharing information about citizens’ rights and responsibilities, as well as how they can seek support and justice when they have been discriminated against,” says Commissioner Govender.
