Helicopter crash north of Stewart involved helicopter from Prince George
STEWART — Stewart Mounties have been called to the scene of a helicopter crash near the Eskay Creek Mine, 250 kilometres north of Stewart, B.C.
North District RCMP say the Dease Lake RCMP have been called out for assistance.
“The remote location is accessible only by air and investigators are making their way to the scene,” says Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.
Peter McGill, owner of Aberdeen Helicopters in Prince George, says the helicopter is one of his, and says the lone pilot inside was killed. This information has not yet been confirmed by RCMP.
