Severe thunderstorm watch for Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE— UPDATE: Environment Canada has ended the severe thunderstorm watch for Prince George.

EARLIER: A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Prince George by Environment Canada.

Environment Canada says a cold front is moving through the central interior and is generating showers and thunderstorms this afternoon (Aug.18). Current conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing large hail.
