RCMP seek public assistance in locating woman last heard from in July: Police concerned for well-being
FORT ST JOHN–UPDATE (Aug.29): RCMP say 31-year-old, Michelle Gleeson has since been confirmed to be in Vancouver.
EARLIER (Aug.19): RCMP in Fort St. John are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing woman who is reported to live a high-risk lifestyle.
On August 17, Fort St. John RCMP were notified that Michelle Gleeson was considered missing after her mother last heard from her on July 19. The 31-year-old woman was last seen in person in the Vancouver area in June.
Police say that Gleeson has not been seen or heard from since her phone call with her mom in July, which is out of character for her, as she usually contacts her family on a semi-regular basis. RCMP say that Gleeson had told her family she was working in Fort St. John and living with her boyfriend but has no known ties to the community, with most of her ties to the Vancouver and New Westminster areas. Police have been able to determine that Gleeson’s phone was last online in the Vancouver area on Aug.2.
