Murphy Williams has been missing for 46 years, police continue to investigate
DAWSON CREEK—This year marks 46 years since Dawson Creek RCMP received a report of the disappearance of Murphy Williams.
Williams was last seen at around 3 a.m. on the morning of August 15, 1974, at a farm residence near Mile 30 on the Alaska Highway where he had been working for two days. It was reported that Williams was acting strangely throughout the night and when the farmer woke up around 7:30 a.m., Williams was no longer at the residence. A thorough search of the property and surrounding area was also negative for him.
Williams is described as:
- Indigenous
- 35-years-old at the time he went missing
- 170 lbs when he went missing
- 5’8″
