‘Our three year lease is up and we are sad to announced that we will not be renewing our lease’: Lease is up at the PG Dome

PRINCE GEORGE—UPDATE: According to a member of the family who owns the property the PG Dome is on, a new leaseholder is already in place and the Dome will remain in operation as is.

EARLIER: The Prince George Dome’s lease is up, and this time the lease won’t be renewed.

In a post on their Facebook Page the Prince George Dome says, “we wanted to break the sad news and give an update on the Prince George Dome…our three year lease is up and we are sad to announced that we will not be renewing our lease.”

“We worked hard on trying to bring new life back into the old Roll-A-Dome and were well on our way to doing it until COVID-19 hit,” continued the post.

According to the post, over the past three years renovations were done to the inside of the building with the help of local businesses such as Rona, PG Rentals and more.

“We had many friends and family always willing to come down and help out and of course all the users groups that volunteered time and expertise to help tackle many of the building upgrades.”—Prince George Dome Facebook Post

“The Roll-A-dome/ PG Dome has been a huge part of our life and we hope to see it continue as a recreational facility,” continues the post, adding that the PG Dome provided the space for many sporting groups, business fairs, dry grads, dance parties and even weddings.

“We hope who ever takes over keeps this iconic building in our community,” adds the post, ending by saying, “to everyone that supported us we want to say a big THANK YOU for helping bringing the community together.”
