Hyatt Place Opens in the heart of downtown

PRINCE GEORGE – The city’s newest hotel opened Friday morning with a ribbon-cutting and fireworks.

The 104 guest rooms were built at an accelerated pace because of its modular engineering.

Located in the heart of the city’s downtown, the newest full-service hotel is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants.

The hotel’s footprint filled up half of a city block in less than a year. According to Ron Mundi, President of Mundi Hotel Enterprises Inc. what helped keep the completion date within a year’s timeline was the assistance from city staff.

The new, five-story hotel features full serves and evening lounge. The hotel employs close to forty full-time people.
