Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation: September is the month of spirit

PRINCE GEORGE— September is the month of Spirit!

The Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation will be hosting a few events throughout the month of September in order to help raise money for healthcare equipment needs in the north.

Starting on September 1st and running until Sept.30th for every Winston’s Refreshingly Local Feature Menu Item sold, the Coast Prince George Hotel will donate $5 to the Spirit of the North. Additionally during Spirit Week (Sept. 18-25) $5 from each Guest room booked will be donated as well, with this year’s funding going to an Optronics HD ans UHD Camera System.

Spirit Day, postponed earlier this year will now take place on September 17, from 7 a.m. 6 p.m., at the Prestige Treasure Cove Resort. Residents of the north are encouraged to call 250-565-2800 or come by and donate to an area of care that means the most to them.

What would usually be known as the Wine Lovers Dinner has been adapted to fit with the times, Wine Lovers 2020 Reimagined. The event will be a virtual dinner auction held on September 25 from 6-9 p.m.

From September 14-20 the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign will be back up and running, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to support Pediatrics through the Spirit of the North healthcare Foundation. All nine locations around Prince George will be participating in the event.
