Just a day after Manny Viveiros was named the new Head Coach of the AHL’s Henderson Golden Knights, the Spokane Chiefs announced Adam Maglio has been promoted and is their new Head Coach.

Maglio becomes the 14th Head Coach in franchise history.

Maglio has 6 years of coaching experience, with most of those years coming with the Prince George Spruce Kings.

This included him guiding the Kings to a Fred Page Cup Championship, Doyle Cup Championship, and 2nd place finish at Nationals in 2019.

Maglio spent just one year as an Associate coach with the Chiefs where they compiled a 41-18-4-1 record last year.

In a press release sent out by the Chiefs, Maglio stated ““I’m humbled and thankful to Bobby Brett, Mark Miles, Scott Carter and the rest of the Spokane Chiefs organization for trusting me to lead the team.”
