Heads up drivers: Nechako Rd. closed starting Sept.2

PRINCE GEORGE—A heads up for local drivers, the City of Prince George is reminding the public that both lanes of North Nechako Rd. will be closed starting tomorrow (Sept.2) evening.

The closure of the lanes is due to the installation of a sanitary service connection. The City says that local traffic will have access to the area, as well as emergency vehicles.

“The operation will start early at roughly 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, and is expected to be completed by Friday, September 4.”—Release by the City of Prince George

The City adds that the work is being completed before the Labour Day long weekend in order to avoid increased traffic disruption—most of the work will be done at night.
