RCMP seek suspect in arson at Dawson Creek 7/11

DAWSON CREEK— RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an arson.

At around 2:20 a.m. on September 2, Dawson Creek RCMP responded to a call of a fire at the 7/11 on 8th St.

Police investigation determined that the male had entered the 7/11, purchased cigarettes, and exited the building. Surveillance footage then showed the male heading behind the building and striking a match.

A bit after that people nearby noticed a fire at the same location and notified employees who were able to extinguish the fire.
