Waite commits to St.Lawrence University for 21/22 season

Spruce Kings defenceman Mason Waite knows where he will play following his final year of Junior.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba product committed to St.Lawrence University, an NCAA Division 1 school.

“I was speechless,” shared Waite to CKPG.

“I didn’t have much to say. I’ve been dreaming about this my whole life, so I didn’t want to rush things, but they are a great school and it was a great offer and opportunity so, it didn’t take long to make up my mind.”

In a press release sent out by the Spruce Kings, Head Coach Alex Evin said, “We are very proud of Mason Waite and he is very deserving of this achievement. Since joining our team last fall, he has worked very hard to improve each and every day both on and off the ice.”

Waite had 7 goals and 22 assists last year with the Spruce Kings.
