City health and welfare focus of a report

PRINCE GEORGE – Staff health and safety is top of mind for one City Councillor.

Terri McConnachie has asked staff to come back with a report on what has been done to protect City staff and what is planned, specifically with a work from home program.

“As we head into winter, I want that stepped up in a significant way.” There are 600 people who work for the City and she says she understands that some workers will not be able to work from home, but having fewer people in places like City Hall will help.

The request was supported unanimously by Mayor and Council.
