PG RCMP remind drivers to be extra cautious as kids head back to school this year

PRINCE GEORGE—Heads up drivers, kids are heading back to school.

Prince George RCMP are reminding drivers to abide by speed limits, especially as this year students may be on the streets at various periods throughout the day.

“This year’s back to school will look different than ever before. Our current health situation has altered how and when schools will teach, and that means a new normal for children commuting to school too. Children may be coming and going at different times than previous years, so it’s important to remain vigilant when driving.”—Cpl. Craig Douglass, Media Relations Officer, Prince George RCMP

Cpl. Douglass adds that it is up to parents to ensure that their children are refreshed on road safety before heading back to school amidst the excitement of seeing friends.
