Two people taken to hospital in Hwy.97 crash north of Hush Lake

PRINCE GEORGE – UPDATE Monday, Sept.7: BC RCMP say that two people were taken to hospital in an accident that closed a stretch of Hwy.97 yesterday (Sept.6).

RCMP say the accident involved two commercial vehicles and that the accident is still under investigation.

The severity of injuries suffered by those sent to hospital is unknown at this time.

UPDATE at 6:35 P.M.: The highway has fully reopened.

UPDATE AT 1:52 P.M.: Drive BC is now reporting that the stretch of Highway 97 north of Hush Lake has re-opened to single-lane alternating traffic.

ORIGINAL POST: A vehicle incident has resulted in the closure of a stretch of Highway 97 north of Quesnel, in the area of Hush Lake.

Motorists along that stretch of road are asked to expect delays while service crews assess the situation.

No information indicating the number of vehicles involved. No injuries have been reported at this time.
