Family escapes injury in McIntyre Crescent drive-by shooting

PRINCE GEORGE — A Prince George family of five survived an early morning drive-by shooting on McIntyre Crescent.

RCMP say shots rang out at around 3 a.m. this morning (Sept.15). Two adults and three children were inside but no one was injured.

Police say evidence collected at the scene suggests the shooting was targeted and that a vehicle fled the scene before police arrived.

“We feel this is targeted so we don’t feel the public is at risk but it’s obviously a concern when we have a shooting in any community,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass.

He’s asking anyone in the area that may have surveillance images to contact police so those involved can be arrested.

Police won’t confirm whether or not the shooting was related to the drug trade.
