BC Hydro confirms positive COVID-19 case at Site C
VANCOUVER – BC Hydro is confirming that an employee who worked at Site C during the week of September 7 has tested positive for COVID-19.
The employee developed symptoms and was tested on September 15, and stayed at onsite worker accommodations. BC Hydro says that the employee followed all health protocol guidelines, including wearing a mask and physical distancing.
After returning home from the site over the weekend, the employee learned that they had been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19. The exposure happened before the employee travelled to the site for work.
The employee did not leave camp or have any interaction with the local community.
