Sep 17, 2020 | 10:24 AM

PRINCE GEORGE—One man is in hospital this morning (Sept.17) after an early morning shooting.

RCMP say that they received reports of multiple shots fired on Upland Street near 20th Ave. at around 2:15 a.m. (Sept.17).

When police arrived they found a male with a single gunshot wound. The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

PG RCMP say that they believe three people were out walking together on Upland Street and had a verbal interaction with two males on bikes. That’s when one of the cyclists is believed to have pulled out a handgun and fired towards the three, injuring one of them. The cyclists fled the scene before police were called.

RCMP say that it is not believed that the victims knew the suspects. Police say that there is no evidence to indicate that this shooting is related to any other recent incident, and that this investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or through Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477.
