With training camp just around the corner for the Prince George Spruce Kings, the club has announced they will have a new addition when it begins on October 1st.

The club announced Monday afternoon that the Spruce Kings have acquired 2000 born forward Hunor Torzsok from the Merritt Centennials in exchange for Future Considerations.

Torzsok was Merritt’s 3rd leading scorer this past season with 16 goals.

He also had 40 games of Western Hockey League experience with the Vancouver Giants.

In a press release sent out by the team, General Manager Mike Hawes stated “Hunor is a veteran player that will be a good addition to our lineup. “He provides some size up front and is a good person that will add some more leadership to our group.”

Torzsok won’t have to wait long to play his former team.

The Kings’ first exhibition game is slated to be against Merritt on October 10th.
