2020 PG Multiple Myeloma March raises nearly $14,000

PRINCE GEORGE–This year’s Multiple Myeloma March took place this past weekend, raising over $10,000.

The March which usually sees people gather at the Otway Nordic Ski Centre, saw participants walk around their neighbourhoods instead due to the pandemic.

Nearly $14,000 were raised this year. Funds raised will go towards research to help ensure that new drug therapies continue to be developed.

Multiple Myeloma is a cancer that affects plasma cells, which are mainly found in bone marrow. Prince George is one of 33 communities across Canada that participated in the 2020 Multiple Myeloma March.
