One person dead after fatal crash on Northwood Pulpmill Rd.

PRINCE GEORGE—A person is dead after a collision on Northwood Pulpmill Rd. yesterday (Sept.21) evening.

Prince George RCMP say they received a report at around 7:41 p.m. on Monday, Sept.21, of a possible impaired driver on Northwood Pulpmill Rd. Minutes later local RCMP received a report of a collision at the intersection of Northwood Pulpmill Rd. and Noranda Rd. Initial reports say that a car collided with a tractor-trailer and was on fire.

When RCMP and other emergency services attended the scene they determined that the driver of the vehicle was deceased.

The B.C. Coroners Service has been notified and is conducting an investigation into the death.

Police say that witness accounts and evidence at the scene indicate that the driver of the vehicle was at fault. The driver of the tractor-trailer did not sustain any injuries.
