PRINCE GEORGE – A group of residents that live northeast of the city say they are getting short-changed with a recent road resurfacing project.

Close to a 10km section is riddled with potholes. Today CKPG news met up with some of the residents and saw some of the worst spots along the roadway.

Over the past few weeks, residents who live in communities along Upper Fraser Road are witnessing how a recent resurfacing road project is failing.

According to residents, the project cost taxpayers $1.5 million dollars. Some of the residents reached out to the provincial government and were told it was the heavy road traffic that caused the potholes.

Longtime resident Lyn Mueller says the road is in worse condition than the old road.

CKPG News reached out to the provincial government for a response to these concerns, but they didn’t respond in time to meet our publishing deadline.
