Cocaine and cash seized in Burns Lake drug busts

BURNS LAKE — The North District RCMP has announced a pair of drug busts in Burns Lake.

Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says the first occurred back on June 19 after police executed a search warrant at a rural residence just outside of town.

She says this search resulted in the seizure of over 340 grams of suspected cocaine and over $35,000.00 cash.

Fast forward to the early morning hours of September 19 and Saunderson says police observed a vehicle travelling along 8th Ave and stopped the vehicle for a motor vehicle act infraction.
