Replacement City Manager not until the new year

PRINCE GEORGE – It will not likely be until the new year that a replacement for City Manager Kathleen Soltis is found.

That is the word from Mayor Lyn Hall, who says there’s still some work to be done.

“We’re very close to Christmas. My hunch is we’ll wait until the new year,” says Mayor Hall. “We have a couple of choices. Do we go out with a regular posting? Or do we look for a company? A head-hunting firm, for example., which will take a look at what our needs are and find some possible candidates.”

Walter Babicz is the Acting City Manager and Ian Wells is the Acting Deputy City Manager.

Mayor Hall notes that the COVID pandemic definitely makes the transition trickier.
