Carney Hill Neighbourhood Centre recipient of $15,000 award

PRINCE GEORGE—Carney Hill Neighbourhood Centre (CHNC) is one of four non-profits across B.C. to receive a monetary award from Fortis BC.

The centre is one of the recipients of Fortis BC’s $15,000 Community Giving Award. CHNC was nominated by Sarah Brown, supervisor, community well-being and partnerships division with the City of Prince George.

According to CHNC, the money will go towards upgrading the aging children’s centre.The Carney Hill Neighbourhood Centre has been an educational environment for children—from marginalized families—and their families in Prince George since 1994.
