It’s safe to say that both the players and coaches of Prince George Minor Football are thrilled just to be on the football field this season.

Just like every Association or Organization they’ve had to change how they do things to meet protocols implemented when it comes to returning to play during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The screening at the beginning. They are asked some Covid questionaries. We are sanitizing kids hands as they come in. When they are touching footballs we are wiping down the footballs right after. Even equipment involved are being wiped down right after finishing the drills. Then on the way out, again, they are sanitizing their hands,” explained PGMFA Coach Sukhi Klair.

Other major changes include players wearing masks and the fact that there is no actual tackle football in 2020 and just flag football.

The good news is they have entered stage 3 of their return to play plan which means they can now begin having scrimmages which is great for the kids registered in 2020 as the season wraps up next week.

PGMFA is hoping that the abbreviated year and experience can help guide them and get them ready for the 2021 campaign.
