Two Rivers Gallery announces Executive Director

PRINCE GEORGE–The Two Rivers Gallery Board of Directors has announced the gallery’s newest member.

Sara Knelman has been appointed to the position of Executive Director. Knelman brings International experience in arts and culture management, curatorial practise and post-graduate teaching in the fields of art history, museology and the history of photography.

Knelman served as the Director of Corkin Gallery, Toronto since 2018, and has served as Talks Programmer at The Photographers’ Gallery, London, UK and Curator of Contemporary Art at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. She begins her position at the gallery on Oct.5th.

She brings with her a great deal of experience and perspective that will continue to strengthen the Two Rivers Gallery’s mission to deliver programming and exhibitions that encourage lifelong learning through the arts, provide opportunities for diverse experiences through participation and exhibition, and create an environment for vigorous artistic and cultural expression,” said Two Rivers Gallery, Board Chair, Cori Ramsay.

Knelman holds a PhD and MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art and a BA from McGill University.

Carolyn Holmes left her position as Executive Director (ED) for the Two Rivers Gallery, back in May, after 20 years of service and four and a half years as ED
