PRINCE GEORGE — The investigation into a hit-and-run in Prince George continues.

On September 7, Prince George RCMP received a report of a hit-and-run just before 10:30 p.m. along Highway 97 near the intersection of Boundary Road.

Police arrived to find a man suffering from serious injuries. It is believed the man was walking southbound on the southbound side of the road and was struck from behind by a southbound vehicle pulling a trailer. The vehicle did not stop. Police found several pieces of the vehicle or trailer, indicating it was damaged. The man is expected to survive.

The vehicle involved is described as a dark coloured Ford Super Duty pickup truck manufactured between 2008 and 2016. It would have had damage to the front right (passenger) side of the truck and the passenger side mirror.

The truck was pulling a trailer described as a single axel boat trailer and carrying an older white boat, approximately 16-20 feet long with a tower and two speakers.

“Although police remain open to all possibilities, given the hour of the day it is possible that the driver of this vehicle resides south of Boundary Road and possibly in another community,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass.

“Investigators continue to urge the driver to attend the Prince George detachment and speak to an officer.”
