PRINCE GEORGE – North District RCMP Traffic Services is celebrating Halloween early this by rolling out its first ghost police vehicle.

RCMP are hoping the new cruiser will better catch drivers breaking the rules of the road.
This morning (Oct. 2) the North District RCMP unveiled its newest police vehicle that will patrol the highways of northern B.C.

The ghost vehicle still features the red and blue light bar on the roof on like a fully-marked vehicle.

According to Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, this vehicle is not so much to hide or conceal it’s for those drivers who change their driving behaviour when they spot a marked police car and then change their behaviour until they’re out of sight again and simply return to the illegal driving habits.
