Struggling for funds: Breast Cancer Awareness Collection launched by charity
TORONTO—The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and one particular organization says they’re struggling to continue to bring awareness to cancer in young women, due to the pandemic.
Rethink Breast Cancer advocates and educates for young people affected by breast cancer, and this year with the pandemic, they’re facing a loss of more than 50 per cent in funding for the year.
“This year has been a challenging one and it has shown us how crucial our work is to our community.”—MJ DeCoteau, Founder and Executive Director, Rethink Breast Cancer
The charity has launched its 2020 Breast Cancer Awareness Month Collection, which includes an array of items such as journals, blazers, mugs, masks and bras.
