PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties made nine arrests yesterday morning following the execution of a search warrant at a home on Nation Crescent in Prince George.

Police say the warrant was executed by the Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit with the assistance of the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team.

“Nine persons were located and arrested in the residence,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass. “The search found a significant amount of methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, ammunition, and a modified rifle with the serial number removed.”

He says a 23-year-old woman, a 31-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were released pending further investigation and charge assessment from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.

“A 26-year-old male was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant,” adds Douglass. “He was provided with a new court date and released without consideration of additional charges. The remaining five adults were released without consideration of additional charges.”

He says the investigation is ongoing.
