PRINCE GEORGE – Some residents living on the 300 block of Douglas street are concerned with the upswing in crime.

One resident says he’s had his vehicle broken into three times in a year and some residents feel like they have to continue to keep a close eye on their property.

According to longtime resident Guy Lefevre, there has been an introduction of a criminal element and a transient population that is affecting his neighborhood.

He has lived on Douglas street for over twenty years and is frustrated with the amount of crime his neighborhood has seen over the past few months.

Lefevre says has called the City hall looking for help and didn’t get the answer he was looking for. He was told there is no place to report the amount of crime occurring in his neighborhood.

City Councillor Garth Frizell says he would like to know what’s causing the problem and find a long-term solution.

Frizell adds it won’t be eliminated right away and understands it can be frustrating for those affected.
