2 injured in Highway 16 crash at Blackwater Road

VANDERHOOF — Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 16 and Blackwater Road last night.

Mounties say that just after 5 p.m. a grey sedan crossed the highway from Macdonald Road to Blackwater Road and was struck by an eastbound SUV.

“The Vanderhoof RCMP partnered with BC Ambulance, and a determination was made to temporarily close the highway to ensure the safety of the collision victims and the safety of the first responders,” says Cpl. Chris Manseau.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital for their injuries. Witnesses are asked to call the Vanderhoof RCMP at (250)567-2222.
