PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Peacemakers, a local Christian organization, is calling on the public to send letters of appreciation to the RCMP for 100 years of service.

Chris Wiebe, Chair of the PG Peacemakers committee, says “we just saw this as an opportunity to express our gratitude and admiration for the people that are serving our city, specifically the RCMP.”

Wiebe says “a lot of people keep those thoughts to themselves a lot of the time, whether they’re actually thankful or not, but we thought it would be worth it to spread the positivity.”

Wiebe says that students at various Christian schools in Prince George are also writing letters.

The letters can be dropped off before October 17th to the College Heights Canadian Tire, Primus Electric on Queensway, and Home Hardware in the Hart.
