Indoor walking at the CN Centre is back

PRINCE GEORGE— If you’re looking to stretch your legs as the weather gets cooler, you’ll once again be able to at the CN Centre.

The CN Centre’s indoor walking sessions will start back up on October 19. The decision to re-open the CN Centre—after closing earlier this year due to the pandemic—comes from City Council who made the choice to restore limited ice access and modified service at the CN Centre at their Oct.5 meeting.

“Indoor walking will only be offered on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 8:30am until 4:00pm in one-and-a-half-hour blocks. The concourse will be closed for half an hour between each block to allow for cleaning and sanitization.”— Release by the City of Prince George

Drop-ins will not be allowed, however. Those looking at walking indoors will have to register online or over the phone by calling the Service Centre at 3-1-1. Visitors can register from two days in advance to up to an hour before a session opens.

Signs will be placed in the facility to aid and encourage physical distancing, and other health measures.
