City plowing through snow budget

PRINCE GEORGE – The City says it is ready for the winter months, following last night’s snowfall, even though it is very early.
“The snow budget is $8.5 million annually,” explains Kris Dalio, the City’s Director of Finance. “And that is for the calendar year, so from January to December. We incur most of it in the early part of the year and the lighter, although a significant dollar-figure, is usually in November, December.”
Unfortunately, there is only a million dollars left to hold us over to the end of this year.
