Canadian International Council establishes branch in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George has become the newest home for a branch of the Canadian International Council.

The branch gives members an opportunity to engage in discussions on international issues.

The new group will host its first guest speaker Phil Calvert who’s also a native of Prince George, he will give a talk about Canada-China Trade.

Recently, Sean Simmons has taken the role of President for Prince George’s branch of the Canadian International Council.

Simmons attended a CIC meeting in Victoria and decided to create a division in Prince George,, to give residents an opportunity to have conversations regarding broader international issues.

Phil Calvert will give a talk on the Canada-China Trade in a Shifting Global Environment on Friday, Oct. 23 via an online platform.
