Pilot project aims to inspire and draw underrepresented groups to leadership roles
PRINCE GEORGE – Two UNBC graduate students have worked to launch an online resource hub, called Claiming Spaces, in hopes of inspiring the next batch of leaders.
The suite of online resources has been the result of a new project partnership between the City of Prince George and Inspiring Women Among Us, with funding from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM).
“What we’re trying to achieve in the project is just encouraging more diverse voice to come into leadership roles and to actually claim a space in a leadership role,” said Penina Sara-Lynn Harding, one of the two Student Research Associates for the Claiming Spaces project.
