RCMP ask for public’s assistance in locating priority offender

PRINCE GEORGE—RCMP are once again asking for the public’s help in locating a priority offender.

29-year-old Colin Michaud Durrand is wanted on several arrest warrants issued on Oct.19, 2020. The warrants were for previously approved charges of Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, obstructing a peace officer, and failure to comply with probation.

The charges stem from three separate incidents that occurred since July 2019. Prince George RCMP highlight the fact that Durrand is believed to pose an increased risk to public safety and has a history of violence.

Colin Michaud Durrand is described as:

  • Caucasian male
  • 188 cm (6’2″)
  • 76 kg (168 lbs)
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes

RCMP add that Durrand is recently known to have been living in Quesnel but may frequent Prince George and Hixon. If Durrand is located police ask that the public do not confront him and instead contact RCMP of their jurisdiction.

Similar requests for assistance were made by local RCMP earlier this year. In those instances, Durrand was arrested a short time later.

His most recent arrest was on the morning of Monday, Sept.28 when frontline officers with assistance of a Police Dog Service team and the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team, converged on a residence on Boyd Street, in Prince George.

Anyone with information on Durrand’s whereabouts is asked to contact Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477 or online.
