VANDERHOOF—RCMP are seeking witnesses or dash-cam video to a single-vehicle fatal crash on Saturday, Sept.26.

The accident took place on Hwy.16 near Hillcrest Way, Cluculz Lake B.C., about 40 kms east of Vanderhoof.

Investigators say they believe at least two commercial truck drivers may have had a near-miss with the vehicle involved in the fatal collision—a black, 2018 Chevrolet Silverado with Alberta license plates travelling west on Hwy.16 towards Vanderhoof.

The commercial trucks involved are believed to be a westbound bulk transport truck and an eastbound tanker truck. The drivers of those vehicles are asked to contact investigators with any information they may have regarding this vehicle or the collision. The Prince George Regional Traffic Services (PGRTS) has taken over the investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the collision are asked to contact Cpl. Michael Collis or Cst. Leonor Blanche of PGRTS at 250-649-4004 and reference file 2020-577.
