Driver survives flame engulfed collision: RCMP investigate
TERRACE—A person is alive after their vehicle erupted in flames after colliding into a propane line.
Terrace RCMP say they received a driving complaint on Thursday, Oct.22 at 5 a.m. on the 4600 block of Queensway Dr., Thornhill B.C. On their way to attend the area RCMP were informed that the driver of the vehicle had collided with a propane line at a nearby empty lot.
When they arrived, members of Terrace RCMP approached the vehicle which suddenly burst into flames. Emergency Health Services and Fire Services along with Pacific Natural Gas were called to assist.
The driver was pulled out of the car covered in flames. First responders assisted in extinguishing the flames on the victim. Police say there were no other occupants in the vehicle.
