Mr.Mike’s employee tests positive for COVID-19

PRINCE GEORGE–UPDATE: In an update by Mr. Mike’s PG’s Facebook they volunteered the information about their team member’s last days of work at the establishment before being confirmed with COVID-19

Those days include: Thursday, Oct.15 12-8 p.m., Friday, Oct.15-lunch service, Saturday, Oct.17-lunch service, Sunday, Oct.18-dinner service.

“If you dined with us on these dates and have further questions, please feel free to call us at (250) 562.1080,” reads the updated Facebook post.

CKPG spoke with Northern Health who says that it was not required by the establishment to make the case known to the public and that the choice was entirely theirs. This has not been deemed a public exposure by Northern Health, as it does not meet the criteria.

EARLIER: A Mr. Mike’s Prince George employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

A Facebook post by the local restaurant says that they have been in communication with Northern Health and are “following all protocol and precautions for (their) team and guests.”

Mr. Mike’s PG says that they will continue to monitor the situation closely and that ” based on (their) implemented health and safety practices, Northern Health has no concerns with (them) continuing (to) operate safely.”

The post adds that their team member is doing well and that they are thankful for the community’s “ongoing patronage and support!”
