PRINCE GEORGE – RCMP received a report of fighting at a large Halloween party on Saturday evening. Several people were seen fighting outside a residence on Regents Crescent before 11:30 on October 31.

Frontline officers arrived on scene to an out of control house party, with an estimated 50 youth involved. Many fled the scene as officers arrived, and those that remained were uncooperative or still fighting.

Officers found two youths unconscious in the basement, with one bleeding from the mouth. Paramedics were called to treat the intoxicated youths, who were transported to hospital with possible alcohol poisoning.

The 51-year-old home owner was given a fine of $2300 for violating the BC Public Health Officer’s orders on large gatherings. A few youth were taken home and released into the custody of their guardians.

Cpl. Craig Douglass says “Our priority continues to be community safety during this provincial state of emergency.”

Douglass says “For many reasons, events such as this put the safety of those attending at risk. We ask that you don’t attend these events, and we ask parents and guardians to prevent your children from attending these events.”
