More cuts at City Hall

PRINCE GEORGE – The City has made more changes to its management structure.

The Director of Public Works, Gina Layte-Liston is no longer an employee of the City of Prince George.

Once the pandemic closed a number of civic facilities, the positions held by Glen Mikkelson and Myles Tycholis were eliminated at the end of July. More recently, City Manager Kathleen Soltis was let go.

CKPG News has also learned that three positions with CUPE, Local 1048 have been eliminated. That is the local that represents inside workers with the City.

As yet, there have been no layoffs from Local 399, which represents the City’s outside workers.
