Violent home invasion injures 100 Mile House resident

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — RCMP have one suspect in custody and are on the lookout for a second after a violent home invasion in 100 Mile House Sunday (Nov. 15).

According to a release from North District RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, two men burst into an apartment in the 500-block of Cedar Avenue at about 2:50 a.m. Sunday. The men had a blunt object and fired a pellet from a pellet gun into the victim.

The two suspects had “a brief exchange” with the 41-year-old victim before the leaving the apartment. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Saunderson says all parties know each other and the incident is believed to be drug-related. There is no perceived risk to the general public.

One suspect was arrested the same day in Williams Lake. A second suspect is still on the loose.
